Every Olive we use is handpicked from century-old olive trees that have been providing the fantastic organic oils we produce since 1943. Those olives are milled using our cold-pressing, cutting-edge decanter centrifuge systems, then stored in stainless steel silos situated in temperature-controlled warehousing to ensure a truly pure taste and the highest possible hygiene standards.

Nestled among the hills of Colletorto in Italy sit almost 60,000 century-old Gentile Nera olive trees, a unique variety native to the region.
The locals call it “the culinary diamond of Molise region”, and it is the key to the unique flavour of Timperio extra virgin olive oil and other products. Each handpicked olive provides an evocative, high quality oil rich in antioxidants and low in acidity, making it not just great for your taste buds, but a healthy addition to any meal.
The Gentile Nera olives of Colletorto, and the extra virgin olive oil made from them, are registered under Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Molise® scheme. This is a European Union acknowledged framework that guarantees Timperio olive oils are produced using the traditional production methods of Molise district. The characteristic qualities of the olive oil products are, in essence, due to its place of origin, microclimate, and local know-how.

To do this, we made a decision several years ago to embrace the most stringent organic farming standard certified by Suolo e Salute®, a control body authorised by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies.
Every olive oil product we deliver is regularly scrutinized to guarantee that we fully comply with the appropriate organic methods and observe all necessary obligations to ensure the quality, genuinely organic product that we are known for.
All our organic oils are stored in independent stainless-steel containers to avoid any taste contamination, with every product hand bottled as they are ordered to maximize freshness and quality.

Today, through a certified traceability tool, we want to give our customers not only the opportunity to reconstruct the full products’ history and find complete information about our organic olive oil products, but also to enable them to better understand our farming practices and the quality of our olive fruits.
Every farmer involved in our Italian olive oil production are regularly audited, our olive groves and organoleptic characteristics are also documented, providing a complete record of the product from source to bottle. This way you can order with confidence, knowing the history, origin, and sustainability of our extra virgin olive oil bottles.
